About Me

Juanita Arredondo-Ortega

LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR, MA, LPC-S

Are you thinking of making that phone call for the first time, but not sure if you will “connect” with the counselor? I understand, it’s not an easy decision! As a first-generation Mexican-American, I am sensitive to the multi-cultural needs of my clients. I am fluent in Spanish and English and able to effectively provide therapy in the language in which the individual is most comfortable. Culturally, are there some challenges in finding that right counselor?  Will you be understood? Will the counselor understand the cultural system? Those are real and valid concerns.

Here is what I can do for you. I can provide you with a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, a personalized approach tailored to meet your personal needs. Our sessions will be collaborative and solution focused.

My clinical experience has provided me with the skills to work with a wide range of emotional concerns that are a result of trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, parental challenges, and substance use. The first 10 years of my career,  I worked with at risk youth and families. I transitioned to an outpatient substance abuse clinic and shortly afterwards began working with the government sector as an EAP consultant. Life happens, we become overwhelmed and unsure where to turn for guidance.

If you’re ready, make that phone call. I will begin the journey with you.
